Bethlehem Family Camp was established in 1931 so Christians of all denominations and family sizes could find revival and inspiration together.
Throughout each day, parents, grandparents, couples, single adults, college students, youth, children, and infants are physically and spiritually nurtured by highly-trained staff, dynamic speakers, engaging teachers, spiritually-led worship music during age-tailored activities. Each evening all ages gather in the tabernacle for a combined worship service with a nursery available and a special children’s church for children under 8 years of age.

We loved it!

I met the living Christ in a deep and life-changing way while attending Bethlehem Family Camp in 1974. At that time, the Holy Spirit began to grow in me a life-long passion for the Word of God and the God revealed through the Holy Scriptures.
In my late teens, I began a decade of sharing my faith journey through the Lay Witness movement and as a counselor at Christian youth camps. During this time, I attended college and earned bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Psychology and Counseling complemented by a minor in Religious Studies. These degrees led to a 35-year career in higher education, while also ministering and serving as a Lay Speaker in Enterprise, Alabama churches. Then, in 2012, change came when God led us to leave Enterprise and move to my husband’s generational family farm in Kentucky. Once in Kentucky, God multiplied the opportunities to minister and I served regularly as a Lay Speaker in over 30 churches across a seven-county area. In 2019, He opened another door, and I stepped into the pulpit of a small UMC church. Three years later I moved to two independent churches in Cumberland County, Kentucky as a Global Methodist Lay Supply Pastor.
On a personal note, my husband Bo and I have been married for 38 years. Throughout our marriage, we have been used by God to counsel adults, lead youth groups, and minister through music. We have two adult sons, two daughters-in-love, and two grandchildren.
A familiar verse – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) The Holy Spirit breathed that newness, that freshness into my heart and life on July 7, 1974. And I wish I could say that I’ve been faithful in obedience every day since. The truth is it was a done deal on God’s part – but very soon after that night my journey took on the appearance of the newly-liberated Hebrews in the book of Exodus – wandering, doubting, looking back, complaining, overcome with discontent – I think you get the picture for I suspect we are not that different. But our God is faithful. Again and again, He brought seasons of refreshing and restoration – when I could breathe in the Holy Spirit and find myself revived and renewed. As Christians we need His fresh anointing, a fresh breath, to stay relevant. The world needs us to breathe deeply. Our country needs us to breathe deeply, our churches need us to breathe deeply, our families need us to breathe deeply – I am praying for the wind of God to blow on and through us all to perform His Word from Job 8:7, “Though your beginning was insignificant, yet your end will increase greatly.” NASB
